I think the best thing that could have happened is for us to go up against Mack IV.

Now the voters can choose:
A candidate who abandoned his obligation to the residents of Florida's east coast to visit Lee County long enough use a one million war chest to buy a primary victory....
OR
A longtime southwest Florida resident who has proven his dedication to the citizens of our area through a lifetime of voluntary community support.
